About Hagar Darkey
Hagar Darkey is a Gospel Artiste, Singer and Songwriter. Born to the late Kwesi Amoasi and Madam Mercy Nkansah both from Akroso in the Eastern Region of Ghana. Growing up as a child, she developed a sense of love to listening to collection of Gospel songs. Hagar Darkey, known in private life as Lady Deacon Mrs. Hagar Akua Oforiwaa Darkey was born on the 4th of January 1978. Hagar Darkey is married to Mr. Bright Kweku Paul Darkey and have a daughter by name Victoria.
Education
Hagar Darkey started her Primary Education at Akim Akroso L.A Primary School in Akim Akroso and proceeded to the JSS of the same school. She had her Secondary Education at Akim Swedru Secondary school (AKISSS) also in Akim Swedru where she obtained her SSCE Certificate. She continued to the Young Woman Christian Association (YWCA) at Adabraka in Accra, where she obtained her Typist and Stenography Certificate.

Vision
Hagar Darkey had her calling into the things of God ever since becoming born again some years back for Hagar, it is an honour and a privilege to stand and lead God’s children in the art of spiritual intimacy through music in all genres. She understands that worship is what brings the overwhelming presence of God.
She enters into the Ghana Gospel Music Ministry and The Ghana Music Industry in 2017. She entered the Gospel scene and the Music Industry with a vision and they are as follows:
- To encourage and to bring hope to the down-hearted through music and her personal life
- To win souls into the Kingdom of God through her songs.
- To draw attention of his listeners to the fact that without the ‘JESUS’ no salvation
- To provide food and help for the poor in the society through her foundation for the needy and the rejected.
- Bring people into Gods presence through and Praise and Worship.
- Create an atmosphere of love, sharing, caring and fellowship.
- To be a healthy, growing Ministry where people can meet Jesus, know him and make him known.
Mission
The mission of HDM is to lead God’s people to be more like Christ in their daily lives and to help build God’s Kingdom through our ministries and other activities.
- To share God’s grace and truth so that people come to know, love, and serve Jesus
- To be a Ministry where people grow deeper in spiritual maturity and develop spiritual gifts in order to mobilize people for ministry in the HDM and mission to the world.
- To be a Ministry which shares the love of Christ by bringing good news to the poor and oppressed, caring for their needs for justice and compassion as expressions of the gospel.
- To be a Ministry which promotes spiritual renewal and effective evangelism.
